Facialista’s

  • Facialista’s is a boutique facialist located in Adelaide, South Australia. Offering bespoke facials, cosmeceutical peels, micro needling, and specialising in Omnliux LED Light Therapy.

  • In 2018, I pitched to Facialista’s to take on their social media management. I noticed there wasn’t much activity on their socials and with a prominent location on Goodwood Road, diverse offering of specialist products and the owner Bernadette’s extensive knowledge in the beauty and skin health space, I identified the opportunity social presented for the brand.

  • Owner of Facialista’s Bernadette wanted her brand to be different to the typical facialist boutique.

    Her three rules were:

    • No pink

    • No candles

    • Must be edgy and a bit risky!

    We decided that the Instagram channel would be somewhere to inspire, offering a sense of bliss and escapism for Facialista’s clients and then carrying this same theme into their experience in their appointments at the boutique.

    We swapped the pink for a bold red, inspired by the feeling we get from wearing a bold red lip. We injected a healthy dose of black and white edits as a nod to Parisian chic from an older time. The rest of the colour palette centred around neutral colours for a clean and bold aesthetic.

  • The Instagram feed maintained this bold, clean aesthetic. We focused on creating an idyllic space all the while peppering sales and event messages when necessary.

    I had the pleasure of managing Facialista’s social channels, preparing event marketing material and photography in the boutique for over 5 years. Thank you Bernadette for trusting me to bring your brand to life on socials.
