Spring Racing For The Minimalist

Spring racing is here and it's time to put together your best outfit. Here are my tips for styling a minimalistic race day look:

MONOCHROME VS FLORAL

Well this is a no brainer. Always black and white.

DRESSES VS JUMPSUIT

I'm a huge lover of dresses and, given the chance, I'm going to slip into one. I love this Bec & Bridge dress, it hugs my curves and its stretch allows me to eat way too many canapés.

HEELS VS FLATS

I'm a short person, so if I'm dressing up I'm going to opt for a heel.

MILLINERY VS HEADBANDS

Headband for sure. I love this headband from ASOS, the perfect accessory for the minimalist. Keep it simple with all silver hardware (or all gold)—avoid that colour!

BRIGHT LIP VS SMOKEY EYE

Spring racing pretty much screams bright lips, and whilst I hate to go along with the crowd, it's got to be done. I prefer a red over a pink because it complements my skin tone and the dash of colour brings my outfit to life.
