The Return of Linen

Linen is Back for Another Season

I'm finally back with a proper style post after what feels like forever. And with COVID-19 restrictions easing in Melbourne, it's back to regular programming for my blog.

Throughout lockdown, I had my sights set on summer and that meant shopping for summer outfits. I've found that I have quite a few gaps in my summer wardrobe (thanks to the wardrobe refresh I did earlier in the year). But linen is something I am definitely not short on – although, really, is there such thing as too much linen?

Being such a breathable, lightweight fabric, linen is perfect for the warmer months – so it's no surprise that so many brands are incorporating it into their SS21 lines. From shirts, to Bermuda shorts, long flowing skirts and dresses – linen is the fabric to invest in for your summer wardrobe.

I got my hands on this beautiful shirt from Faithfull the Brand a few months back. I like most of my shorts, pants and skirts to sit high waisted, so I was after a cropped length white linen shirt that would look flattering over any of these. Here, I've paired it with my paperbag waist linen trousers (old Faithfull the Brand) and have loved styling it in a few different ways – completely buttoned up, just the top button done up and open over the top of a bikini.

Let me know what you'd like to see coming up on the blog in the comments below. Christmas Wishlist? More outfit posts?
