How To Wear A Dress 3 Ways

How to Get The Most Out Of Your Wardrobe

As a minimalist, I like to keep my wardrobe and belongings to the classics and the absolute essentials. My method of shopping is simple but very effective; before I buy a piece of clothing I ask myself: do I really need it? How many times a year would I wear it? And what would I wear it with? While this last question may seem obvious when it comes to buying a dress, I like to get the most out of my purchases (and think outside the box when it comes to styling). This is a C/meo Collective dress from January this year (you can shop it below). Its fit and flare style and thin straps make it the perfect layering piece. I also love that it's a blue and white stripe, meaning that I can style it with my favourite colours: white, black and grey.

Just The Dress

Worn alone, this can be dressed up with heels and a cross body bag for drinks with the girls. It's a super cute look for those balmy summer nights.

Dress & Tee

The perfect way to style a dress for a daytime look is to layer it with your favourite tee and a pair of sneakers. Pair a lighter toned dress with black details to give it more of an edgy, laid back look. Sidenote: this Comme Des Garçons tee is a wardrobe staple; it always, always come in handy.

Dress & Shirt

This is the perfect desk to dinner outfit. I love layering this dress with a white business shirt to tone down the feminine styling of the dress (due to its ruffled skirt.) And it's giving me all sorts of Twice Blessed vibes, which I obviously love!

What's your favourite look?
