Jeans Fix

This season, the 70s trend is going big on the denim front. Think fringed, distressed, high-waisted and baggy. The 70s trend has been around for a while, adding a bit too much boho to everyone’s wardrobe, but now it’s bringing it with flared jeans (I’m not sure I can’t jump on board this trend just yet!) Anyhow, here’s your jeans fix:

Distressed Jeans

Distressed jeans are a model’s favourite off-duty look. Whether it be a raw cut or a ripped knee look, the distressed style works with any type of jeans.

TRY IF: you like an off-duty, unpolished look.

Thirteen-year-old me made a promise to myself: never wear these again. Flares are back and they’re worn all the way to the floor (normally over heeled boots or white sneakers.) Pairing these with black high heeled ankle boots makes for the best statement against blue denim.

TRY IF: you’re a confident follower of trends!

High-Waisted Skinny Jeans

Skinny jeans are always a staple for winter and I find myself replacing them yearly (or at least attempting to – shopping for jeans is hard work!) The high-waisted style has been around for a while now and it’s not going anywhere, so it’s safe to invest.

TRY IF: you have a curvy figure (trust me they work wonders).

Mom (MUM) Jeans

This is probably my favourite 70s trend. My style isn’t exactly vintage, but these scream comfort (and I’ll pair it with a plain white tee, don’t worry).

TRY IF: you’re petite (although, anyone can pull this trend off, let’s be honest).

This is a very new trend for denim and one that isn’t to be taken lightly. This is certainly a more dressed up look than other styles and should almost always be worn with heels (the more strappy the better!)

TRY IF: you love wearing statement pants.
